Facing the expensive proposition of a major renovation of their aging Star pipe organ, the congregation of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Ohio City, Ohio explored the possibility of an Allen digital organ. After hearing a recently installed Allen in their area, the members chose to spend about a third of what a renovation would cost, and purchase a new Allen Chapel CF-8 digital organ. Aside from the obvious cost savings element of this decision, the congregation now has an instrument that provides more musical resources and more flexibility than any pipe organ of similar size. A maintenance-free new organ with a complete 10 year warranty provides the peace of mind the congregation was seeking.
