Shiloh Church
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Description
An otherwise "heathy" 55-rank Moeller pipe organ from 1971, with a console that had become problematic presented a unique dilemma for the members of the Shiloh Church. After interviewing various pipe organ technicians and Seta Music, a new Allen console was selected as the preferred option. This choice allowed for the addition of a complete MIDI unit as well as four new digital pedal ranks to supplement an otherwise average pedal division. The stunning four-manual console in oak finish has become the highlight of a complete sanctuary renovation. The organ features Great, Swell, Choir and Pedal divisions arrayed across the front of the sanctuary, and an impressive Antiphonal division high above the rear balcony, including a commanding Trompette en Chamade. This organ remains one of Dayton's most impressive organs.
- This stunning 4-manual console, with matching dolly, controls the entire old pipe organ as well as several new digital pedal ranks and complete Allen Vista MIDI capabilities.
- This Trompette-en-Chamade rank, as well as several other antiphonal ranks are controlled by the new Allen console in the main chancel…..nearly a half block away !

- The organ’s heritage as a large Moeller pipe organ is preserved by appropriate notation on the new console name plate.
